It's an old bloodline, consists of mostly bluenose dogs with larger than normal heads and bodies to allow them to catch larger prey. The bloodline was originally bred for hog catching, hence the extra size needed. I have a dog that is "half gotti/half watchdog" and he is very well rounded. He's got a good head and taller body, at 8 months hes 85lbs.
