Much like how in German the base "Ess-" is in a lot of the words and phrases pertaining to food, Inshouku (飲食) is in a lot of the phrases pertaining to eating. Such as:

飲食する (Inshokusuru): To eat or drink 飲食店 (Inshokuten): Restaurant Etc...
