The U.S. did not mint any silver dollars from 1905 to 1920 inclusive. Please check your coin again. If it's from a different country or is a U.S. coin with a different denomination, please post a new question with that information.
If it's a U.S. coin, also check for a mint mark on the reverse side, probably near the eagle's tailfeathers. It may be blank, or there may be a D, O, or S.
The accepted range is $10-$525
The price of the silver (if melted) is $6.08 because the coin is 90% silver.
According to Coinstudy.com a 1907 Barber O Quarter in "Fine Condition" is worth $15, one in "Extremely Fine Condition" is worth $98, and an uncirculated one is worth $225.
8-23-11>>> Assuming the coin is circulated and has no mintmark, the 1907 Barber Quarter is a more common date of the series. Because most coins show heavy wear, for an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. In general retail values for low grade coins are $11.00-$25.00, better grade are $30.00-$65.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $100.00-$180.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.
They sell for about $14.00 on ebay. If the coin is in exceptional condition, you could get more.
In worn condition, $3. With moderate wear, $5; with slight wear, $10.
25 cent
