Troy was an ancient city, it is famous for the Trojan war, which started due to Helen of Sparta's abduction.
Also the Trojan Horse ( which wasn't real )
The Trojan War had nothing to do with Helen of Sparta. That is a myth. The war was fought over access to tin in England (tin was used to produced bronze for war materials).
When Prince Paris of Troy visits Greece he meets Helena and falls in love with her, but she is married. Soon she escapes her abusive husband and is able to be with Paris. He husband is angered by this and gets his brother, the leader of the country, to declare war on Troy. Paris gets injured and is losing the battle so he begs his brother to save him so he does. Hector kills Helena's husband and enrages the king of Greece. In the end, A "Trojan horse" is given to Troy as gift without them realizing it is filled with hidden Greek soldiers. The soldiers infiltrate and defeat Troy but Pairs, Helena, and Paris' cousin are able to escape.
