Velcorin® has been approved by the FDA, WHO, and EU for use in cold-fill beverages such as carbonated soft drinks, juices, juice sparklers, cocktail mixes, syrups, concentrates, sports drinks, flavored waters, and ready to drink teas. It is never present in the finished product as it breaks down completely within the product into naturally occurring components. Classified as an incidental additive/processing aid in the US, and is not declared on an ingredient statement, thus, allowing a "clean label".

Velcorin is dimethyl dicarbonate, it is certified Parve Kosher.
Is velcorin safe?
Velcorin has been looked at in detail by many countries registration authorities and also e.g. by JECFA (joint FAO/WHO expert committee on food additives) and there have been no objections, so it should be considered safe.
Can velcorin be used in organically certified products?
No and NOT OU certified as well. FDA not approved for protein beverages
