The belly button, or naval, and its remaining arterial tissue, once it's no longer supplying nutrients, collapses, degrades and bonds to other connective tissues in the abdomen. No longer plumb near the renal system, even though it's end point may be near there.

And The fibrous cords inside your navel are fused into your umbilical ring
