Pay depends on rank and job so it varies.
The Marines are a specialized group that is with the Navy of the U.S., How could one be better than the other? They both do the best at what their job entails.
Ah ... yeah.And they do a rather decent job when they get there, too.
The first and foremost job for the Marines, is to protect the United States from enemys foreign and domestic. During peace time, the Marines have a lot of different jobs to do just like the civilian population does. But, in times of war, it is the Marines that will be sent into the combat zone first. Royal marines join full time and do 32 weeks training Royal marines reserve are like the territorial army, you still have a job (teacher, doctor) but you do one weekend a month training for 18 months and support the full time marines
no but you need to take a (mos) job test and get a GED eventually ;)
You can't be sure of the position you will get when enlisting in the Marines or the Army. Taking the ASVAB will give you an idea of the job that you will be assigned to of if you may be selected as a scout sniper.
