What is your opinion on Global Warming?

that its just a scare to get people to buy expensive eco friendly stuff. Or if it is real, then were not really in trouble. There has to be a way to get rid of the water that is melting from ice caps. Why dont we give some water to the desert?

A:Some opinions are that global warming is real, and others say it is not real. This is debateable. I know a lot of information on this subject, and I would have to say that this crisis is real, and happening. The clues lead up to this matter. With the carbon emmisions and the greenhouse gases and CO2. (methane is another alternative greenhouse gas, if you didn't know.) I am in college, and I have to do a project on the greenhouse gases, with global warming in the mix.

Global warming is a serious threat to the future of the planet. We have the renewable resources to deal with it, but governments around the world are too slow to act. We will soon be over the tipping point when it will become to late to recover.

I accept that global warming is really happening and that average global temperatures are rising at an unprecedented rate. After all, it is hard to fake the measurements, and no serious scientist would want to do so.

I also accept the overwhelming consensus of climate scientists that global warming is substantially caused by human activities, resulting in an increase of over 35 per cent in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels since the beginning of the Industrial Age. I have reviewed the scientific conclusions on the causes and consequences of global warming, and the evidence they were based on, and they make sense.

I am extremely worried about the issue and intend to start an international global warming movement to educate the world about global warming and climate change.

It has yet to be proven it is warming more than normal or linked to man as the cause.

After decades of research and thousands of scientific peer reviewed papers published, the global scientific consensus on the issue is clear:

• Warming of the climate system is unequivocal.
• Most of the observed warming is due to humans.
• It's not cyclical as never ever has the amount of atmospheric CO2 increased so much in such little time (roughly just 200 years whereas a cyclical CO2 increase would take thousands of years)

If we wait just a bit longer, it might be too late to do anything about it. Some scientists (IE, James E. Hansen) believe we've already passed the 'point of no return'.
