What was the reaction to the State of the Nation Address by Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo?

Although the country has been affected by the global meltdown, the President has been able to stir the economy clear of trouble. The President was able to put the country's inflation in check despite the global financial downturn. The President's fiscal reforms kept the country afloat. She has shown us that she has the foresight. She made us take the bitter pill to withstand the tough times.CONFUSION The president tells the Phillipine people what they want to hear- that there will be an election in 2010. but then does not tell us the rest of it. she stays quiet on cha-cha and says nothing about her plans after her term expires in 2010.President Ramos and the rest of the countrie's citizens say she needs to tell us her plans after 2010 but her palace spokesperson defended her silence saying it's something private- which is ridiculous because she is the President- a famous public figure- not a private citizen. We should not always give negative responses about our president's governing ways...coz its not dat easy 2 handle a democratic country like us...specially wen we, d countrymen dont knw anyting but jus 2 olweiz go on stritz en der pout out ol d blame 2 d government...we should also learn to apprec8 wat d government is trying 2 do juz 2 solve every single problem dat we giv dem...y dont we try 2 1st tink how 2 help ourselves 2 get out ourselvz of poverty!?you might know,YOU could be d answer!!!or d answer could come out from ur knowlej ayt!? GMA for being a strong woman but not for being a president..The Speech were badly written, and badly delivered.. It was just a waste of time knowing that lots of people were not really listening to her lies. If the SONA is traditionally used to set an agenda for the upcoming year, then she has left that one hanging on a cliff.sona 2008 is good.. pero i hate it kasi we are obliged to make a s.w.o.t. (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis na 20 pages.. so far di pa ako nakakalahati. strength??? una kong nalagay is yong well funded programs niya.. as she said, malaki ang kita from VAT weakness?? no clear strategic directions regarding ung 3 solutions niya for the complex challenges Opportunities?? ung positive outlook sa international finance...financially capable tau threatS?? ung bawas buwis.. threat siya though okei maxado kasi baka mabawasan ang fund ng govt.. meaning di niya na mafund ung mga subsidized programs niya na karami rami... un lang.. bow!!meowAs a student, I believe in President Noynoy Aquinos abilities to lead us from corruption to a better lifestyle. His year has been very memorable especially to those ones whom he helped. He said about those who were poor and those who don't eat would have a much better chance to live a much better life than the past. Every Filipino has been yearning for this kind of freedom and life. Now all of us Filipino's will have a much, much better life and no more corruption! VERY WELL SAID!we should be the best .. no corrup. no!

Talambuhay ni corazon cojuangco Aquino?

August 1, 2009 Former Philippine President Corazon Aquino, icon of people power in the Philippines and around the world, passed away at 3:18 am Saturday, her son, Senator Benigno Aquino III, said. The official cause of death was cardiorespiratory arrest. The 76-year-old Aquino was diagnosed with colon cancer in March of last year and was treated with chemotherapy. Last May, she underwent surgery to remove parts of her colon and was brought to the Makati Medical Center (MMC) in June due to loss of appetite. She never left the hospital, as her declining condition sparked a wave of emotion in the country and prompted the widespread appearance of yellow ribbons - on trees, car antennas, and even the Web. "She would have wanted us to thank each and everyone of you for all your continued love and support. It was her wish for all of us to pray for one another and for our country," Senator Aquino said. "Hinihiling ng aming pamilya ng kaunting panahon para makasama ang aming ina." He added that they chose a private funeral arrangement for the late president rather than avail of a state funeral in Malacañang. [See: No state funeral for Aquino] After being confined for barely two months at the MMC, Mrs. Aquino passed away early Saturday morning surrounded by her children. Celebrity host and family friend Boy Abunda was inside Mrs. Aquinos hospital room during the final moments of the former president's bout with cancer. "They were praying the sorrowful mystery Doon niya hininga ang …
