Here is a definition of compassion from an online dictionary: a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering. Our Blessed Lord is God, but He is also 100% human. In His human nature, He could feel compassion for another, and obviously did, for instance at the death of His friend, Lazarus.
So, as a human being, as a man, Our Blessed Lord has compassion. He feels our misery, our sinfulness, our aloneness, our absence from the God who created us, and He desires to heal it, so much so, that He actually went to the cross to do what none of us are capable of doing - repair the unbridgeable gulf that we have created with our sin.
He has done that, and is still not done, because for this to be complete and real, each of us must make it our own, which means that we must put our sin behind us, repent of it and start to live a good Christian life, walking in His footsteps, and carrying our cross after Him.
And He still feels that compassion, He is right there beside us every step of the way, forgiving our sins in the sacrament of confession each week, and giving us the strength to live that Christian life in the sacrament of the most precious Eucharist - His own Body and Blood. So, He goes beyond human compassion, and becomes one with us through our frequent Holy Communion. We become in a real way divinized through our Confession and Communions.

The three qualities Jesus showed were Love, compassion and forgiveness.
Jesus cured people for two reasons. One reason was because of His love and compassion for mankind (Jesus came to earth to die for mankind because He loved His created people). And the second reason was to validate His ministry on earth. He healed the sick and delivered people from demons, and other miracles so that people could see that He was the Messiah that was predicted in the Old Testament that had came to save mankind.
I've always asked myself the same question. I think Jesus spoke to each person individually in their hearts... each person was free to accept or reject his message (with their hardened hearts.) Jesus certainly didn't have to shout or yell to be heard. In my opinion, he might have used some sort of telepathy.
Because one of the main teachings of Jesus was to show compassion and forgive your enemies.
