I would continue on to your Masters or PH D program. There you can choose from a variety of different fields such as Speech Language Pathology, which it seems your Bachelors is more geared towards. Within speech language pathology, there are again numerous paths of study for you to take. Talk to your academic advisor about the possibility of getting into an internship or research program to further your education in this field.

The area with the most (and highest paying) jobs available in the private sector for people who hold a masters in linguistics is the field of computational linguistics. A computational linguist would need to be both a linguist as well as a computer scientist. Take a look online at some job offers for computational linguists. You'll see a long list of different computer programming languages you will need to be proficient in, as well as having knowledge of specific areas of linguistics. Computational linguists work on developing programs that do machine translation or they work with speech recognition programs, to give two examples.
If you have no interest in working with computer programming, you may want to consider applied linguistics, where you would learn to teach English as a second language. This type of degree could allow you to travel around the world working as an English teacher.
Another option is to work for government agencies as a text analyst. For this kind of job, there are often heavy background checks as well as requirements such as being a US citizen and not being married to a foreigner.
