Some species of catfish are algae eaters and others are not.
coryadoras are the best!
algae and algae wafers
Yes, I have an Albino Corydoras catfish and he love to feast on the algae. Although they eat the algae, you may also want to buy them algae wafers or shrimp pellets just to make sure they are well fed!
Yeah.
They eat algae wafers, algae in your tank, or left over food the other fish haven't eaten.

They usually eat algae and any left over fish food in the tank
Most of the time you can just leave them in the tank. The other fish will most likely leave them alone. You can feed them wafers with algae in them. They will also eat whatever your other algae eaters eat. I hope this answer helps!
Yes. Algae wafers are food that sinks on the bottom of the tank. it is food for some bottom feeders like cat fish. However, some upper or mid strata fish will eat it. Unless they're carnivores.
Many fish eat algae, it depends on which type of algae. But the fish that do eat algae are catfish, red tailed fish, Florida flag fish, and plecos.
Depends what species of "pleco" you actually have. I have seen Hillstream Loaches being sold as "Butterfly Plecos" but they're not even catfish! They're sub-tropical algae-eating River Loaches that need a spacious tank with excellent water quality and a strong current.
Snails are small inverts and do not need to eat much. They are scavengers and will eat algae, and any other small things they can find your fish tank. Snails are a great edition to any tank and the need little if any care! You can supplement their diet with algae wafers, and small pieces of blanched zucchini and lettuce. Very minimally.
