Basic rule of thumb is, how ever much the ticket cost will depend on what you should wear. This means if the ballet is at a large theatre then its most likely expensive, so dress up, if its just a small regional theatre dress smart casual.If its a gala to a famous ballet company perhaps 'black tie'. Just remember that ballet was originally for royality so its important to show respect even if its a little one with children performing.

I agree with the above. The main things to consider are your personal comfort and how formal this occasion will be. It is better to overdress than underdress (not literally) in my opinion. :) I agree with with both of the above but if I were you i would wear something nice but not wedding nice. Like a nice dress or a long sleeved collared shirt w/ jeans. That is just my opinion.


Let me tell you this: "I was stupid enough to wear jeans to Sleeping Beauty". Thats right. I was stupid, and embarrassed.. Standing amongst people wearing formal dresses, pretty shoes, and their hair all done up... I only have 15 minutes to get ready though... LOL. but still, thats my experience.....
