Food service or hospitality management education is not mandatory for a restaurant manager but is preferred. Real world experience in the food service world is mandatory along with leadership capability, initiative and reliability.

There are no specific skills required to work in fast food. You do have to be trainable in order to be able to fall directions.

I have been working at McDonald's for just under 2 years now. It's an awesome job, for a little while. Just be prepared to get bitched at 24/7 and to get greasy
