Switzerland is a multi-ethnic country with the three main groups being German, French and Italian. Moreover, each group is strongest in a particular region of the country, so their cuisines are more directly related to the foods and flavors of the adjoining regions of those larger countries. In other words there is no "Swiss" national cuisine. Larger cities of course have more variety and also more "fusion" of the various regional cuisines. Switzerland IS famous for a certain food though... you guessed it! Chocolate.
