If your car originally had full synthetic, then you should go with that. But if it came with regular/conventional oil then it wouldn't be smart to switch unless you have it flushed out because it can cause carbon build-up inside, which will make the motor run harder and heat up more.
Synthetic is 100% synthetic. There are blends sold that are part synthetic & regular oil. Look for a quart that sates FULL or 100% Synthetic. If it says Synthetic Blend then it is not 100% Synthetic.Synthetic is 100% synthetic. There are blends sold that are part synthetic & regular oil. Look for a quart that sates FULL or 100% Synthetic. i have a 96 manual and i use full synthetic on mine but you dont have to use full synthetic..if you dont know what is in it right now then i would go for a 50/50 oil(half synthetic and half regular) because you can always go back from there to either regular oil or full synthetic...but once you go full synthetic you can not go back to regular or you will mess up your motor...and you are supposed to use 4 quarts
5W30, 10W30 regular, synthetic blend, or Full synthetic will work just fine
5w30 oil is recommended. conventional, semi-synthetic and full synthetic oils are all compatible with this engine.
Yes, unless Jaguar recommends you only use full synthetic.
Not just can, but should. Ford recomends full synthetic for both the V6 Duratec and the I4 Zetec.
I switched to full synthetic engine oil in 2001 and have no oil leaks on my 1995 Ford What makes you think you will have leaks? And if you think you will have leaks then why would you use synthetic? You will have no leaks that you would not have with conventional oil.
depends on how long you plan on owning the car. personally every vehicle i have is running full synthetic oil. Ask any one who has every taken apart an engine and theyll tell you how mcuh cleaner an engine running synthetic is compared to conventional oil.
You can mix part synthetic oil with full synthetic oil.
The best oil is 10w-40 full syn. If you go by the oil change indicator lights, use full synthetic. If you change it at half the interval, regular oil is okay, but I still recommend full synthetic. It should have a rating of ACEA-A3 rated.
Depends. 3K for regular oil, 5K for synthetic blend, 7.5K for full synthetic. More or less, depending on the type of driving you do, and how dusty the conditions.
for a complete oil change, the 2001 bmw 750iL requires 8.5 quarts or 5W30 or 5W40 full synthetic oil.
