I'm pretty sure fine adjustment. But coarse adjustment also works. The power doesn't matter, There is ONE difference.
Coarse adjustment-
A knob that focuses the microscope on the specimen by RAISING and LOWERING the body tube of the scope.
Fine adjustment-
A knob that adjusts the HEIGHT of the body tube.
A compound light microscope is named for the use of more than one lens to collect and focus light, and magnify the image.

The three basic structural components of a compound microscope are the head, base and arm. then the main parts are objective lens near object, eye piece near eye and the stage to place object. it has coarse and fine adjustments to focus the object
focus knobs are the things you use to focus stuff on a microscope.
The knobs on the side of a microscope are the focus knobs. The large one is the course focus, and the smaller one is the fine focus.

You use the fine adjustment to focus in HIGH power with a compound microscpe.
When you have your head lights turned on (the switch turned to the right all the way), pull that same switch out towards you
Multiply the magnification or power of the objective lens times the power of the eyepiece and it equals the total magnification
what objective use to focus a microscope
Because it is made up of more than one lens. A simple microscope is make up of one lens (a hand held magnifying glass can also be considered as a simple microscope). In a compound microscope, one cannot see the magnified image until both the lenses are used.
I think to focus light on the specimen slide.
