Probably a good idea to call the doctor and see if she made a mistake. She may have meant to write "Lo" on the rx and did not or give you a regular ortho tri-cyclen sample. If, for some reason - but it wouldn't make sense, this was purposeful, it is fine to take regular tri-cyclen after you finish your current pack. The difference between the two is that ortho tri-cyclen has more estrogen than the "Lo" version. This difference does not change the effectiveness, but there are reasons why lower or higher estrogen doses may be prescribed - which is why I would check with your doctor before filling your prescription. She may have just gotten it wrong, and it only takes a call to the pharmacy to correct it.
