The USA became great during and following WW II. The economy was helped by loaning money to England to fight the Nazis. Very similar to how China is now Financing the USA so that the USA can keep fighting in the Middle East. After WWII America had developed is manufacturing infrastructure was established and the people were motivated. It's really where American patriotism was solidified. The economy grew from there. But, as America's greatness was born in war, it is showing cracks in war too. As I said, China owns billions in US debt. And just as WWII brought England down as a world leader, the war on terror is bringing down the USA and replacing it with China.

Is Kuwait better than America?
I am a Kuwaiti and I believe Kuwait is much more fun and is safer than America. Although America is a big country,Kuwait will live and america might die. Another point of view is that both Kuwait and America are great countries in their own ways. They are certainly different. The cultures are hard to compare, the size is hard to compare and the geography is very different. What makes America great is the freedom to reach your dream. What makes Kuwait great is the remarkable lifestyle that has been built out of the sand. Both countries are proud and so they should be. They have much to be proud of and long may that continue.
