I believe the earth's core creates friction as it the earth rotates and that generates the field. Not 100% on that though.
To remain a magnet it has to be made out of steel as steel makes a permanent magnet.
Yes, as it is a magnet that will remain for a long time that makes it permanent. : ) x
the process of converting iron to a permanent magnet is called magnetization. As iron is a ferro magnetic material it is magnetized by applying strong magnetic field across it , this makes the alignment of all the magnetic dipoles present in iron in the same direction .Even after the external magnetic field is removed they retain their arrangement , thus it becomes a permanent magnet
a magnet field..!
An electromagnet is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by the flow of electric current. The magnetic field disappears when the current ceases. Take a look at this Wikipedia page for more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnet
An electromagnet only retains major magnetic properties when a current is being run through it.AnswerWhether a material makes a permanent or temporary magnet depends on the nature of the ferromagnetic material involved. For example a coil with a steel core will retain much of its magnetic flux density when the current is switched off, whereas a coil with an iron core will lose most of its magnetic flux density when the current is switched off.
makes current flow through a magnet
a magnetic field
makes current flow through a magnet
ANY flowing current is surrounded by a magnetic field. The coil simply makes the magnetic field stronger.
There are many ways how magnetism is cause. The main reason is due to the magnetic field of a magnet such as a bar magnet which constantly keeps creating its own magnetic field. And an electromagnet which only creates its magnetic field when it is switched on.
a spinning electron produces a magnetic field that makes the electron behave like a tiny magnet
