not really, you may have to know how to measure liquids so you'll know how much peroxide to use and know how to use a timer. The most you'll need math for as a cosmetologist is know how much money you're making from each person!

∙ 11y agoyou have to know how to measure the color you are putting into the bowl ,and you have to know how to read ounces ypu also have to know ratios ,say if your color and developer ration is 1:3 then you have part clor 13 parts developer so two ounces of developer. you also have to know how to measure especially if ypur doing to cut just once inch off you need to know waht one inch is
