What math courses would you need to take for a career as a cartoonist?

In: Drawing

Answer

As a fellow artist who is also interested in cartooning and animating. I had also asked myself the same question. Maths doesn't seem like a must-have but it does in fact play a part in cartooning and every other job for that matter. It wouldn't be necessary to do Math courses in University or College, etc. All you'd need would be a basic understanding of mathematical skills. (measurement, x and y axis and so on).

Keeping in mind that career paths can change over many years. So you may find that cartooning may not be for you. So keep your options open for similar potential jobs. But hey, keep your mind on it and strive for that goal and you'll get there.
