All installations that have elements of the US Army Air Combat Wing, Air Cavalry, Air Reconisance, and air units that support ground troop operations may have Apaches assigned to them. It would be difficult to narrow this down without internal information from the Department of the Army or the DoD.

What is the most commonly used attack helicopter in the US military?
There's only two dedicated attack helicopters - the AH64 and the AH1, with the AH64 being used by the Army, and the AH1 being used by the Marine Corps and some Army National Guard units. Of the two, the AH64 would be more commonplace, as the Army is a much larger branch, and fields a much larger helicopter force than the Marines do. According to Wikipedia, the US has 741 AH64 helicopters, and 167 AH-1W helicopters (although it doesn't give any mention of how many of the older, single engine models ordered by the Army may still be in service with the Army National Guard).

Since the Comanche program was cancelled in 2004, I'd say the Apache. In theory? No contest: the Apache carries a 30mm cannon, while the Comanche carried a 20mm cannon. Both aircraft are designed to be resistant to 23mm cannon fire, so an Apache could shoot down a Comanche but a Comanche couldn't shoot down an Apache. Both birds can carry the Stinger antiaircraft missile, but the cannon gives the edge to the Apache.
