While there are waivers for everything, in general, if you've got any type of problem like dyslexia, it's a medical DQ, and the military in the past has stood firm on its position. While the military doesn't typically explain their position on such matters, the reason is that in the heat of battle or in high stress situations, a simple mistake such as transposing a number can mean the difference between life or death, and it's just not worth the risk militarily to put anyone in that situation.
For example, let's say that a person with dyslexia was in the Army, acting as a forward artillery observer, calling in coordinates for strikes. A simple number transposition on those coordinates could mean the difference between dropping the shells on target, or on friendly forces.
There is no rule barring you from entry based on a preconcieved notion that your preformance would be less than satisfactory. Basically, if you pass basic training, you have a shot, just like everybody else.
Yes you can. The severity of the dyslexia can restrict career paths but it is not an automatic bar to enlistment.
