Lucy is not regarded as a miracle worker. However, there are a few miracles that occurred at the time she was martyred. When she refused to marry a pagan, Paschasius, he denounced Lucy as a Christian to the governor of Sicily. The governor sentenced her to forced prostitution, but when guards went to fetch her, they could not move her even when they hitched her to a team of oxen. The governor ordered her killed instead. After torture that included having her eyes torn out, she was surrounded by bundles of wood which were set afire; they went out. She was finally executed by being stabbed to death with a dagger. It is said that her eyes were miraculously restored just before she died.
Lucy is not remembered for any miracles she performed during her life but, rather, for her valiant death as a martyr.
All the details of Saint Lucy's life are the conventional ones associated with female martyrs of the early 4th century. In many cases, these stories, almost always about pious virgins who faced a fate worse than death, could be considered as no more than the popular literature of the time. We have no evidence that Lucy really lived nor what miracles she might have performed.
