What monster is better Slifer the Sky Dragon or Obelisk the Tormentor?

Which of these God cards are better is hard to say. It all depends on the kind of deck is used and situation these cards get into.

• Slifer's attack power can potentially rise above Obelisk's, but sometimes it's hard to keep cards in your hand.
• Obelisk can destroy all monsters on the field at once by tributing two monsters (including itself), but you can't battle. Slifer can destroy any monster Normal or Flip Summoned if it has 2000 DEF or less, but it doesn't work on monsters that are Special Summoned (which proves to be difficult since Special Summoning is much more prevalent than before).

You can make a deck centered on one of these cards to cover up some of their weaknesses or improve their strong points.

• "Light of Intervention" for Slifer to destroy monster more easily; "Reckless Greed" to increase attack power and counter when an opponent attacks; cards that negate your opponent's Special Summons; or a Zombie deck utilizing "Card of Safe Return" to draw more cards.

• There aren't as many different strategies with Obelisk, but cards that Special Summon monsters not only make it easier to summon, but easier to use its destruction effect.
