most muscles are used when running on a treadmill. you have your core stabalising your body. pec major and minor, bicep's and tricep.working as you pump your arms. in your legs you have the gastrocnemius and the soleus in the calf working. all 4 quad muscles. glut maximus medius and minimus all working. theres alot of muscles in the ankle i dont know the names for these. also there are muscles in the lower back. your hip flexer muscle lifting your leg as you run. but the main ones you need to know will be the quads calf and gluts. there the prime movers here.
