Does she wish on a comet or shooting star and made in 80's or early 90's? I remember one where they are on the balcony and wish on a comet, star, or anomaly and then next morning are changed and had to wish again at the end to change back. I think it is called Willy/Milly (1986).

Never saw it, but I remember a friend telling me they went to see it and a guy in the theater kept cat calling at the "woman" in the movie only to be a surprised jacka** when he found out that the woman was a man. HA!
