What objects do Catholics consider sacred? In: Catholicism |
[Edit] |
Answer
Roman Catholics consider the holy communion host to be the most sacred object of their faith. Certainly so-called "first-class" relics of saints are considered to be very blessed objects as well as other bonafide relics. Blessed objects are also considered special although "sacred" may not cover everday objects that are blessed.
Answer
The Soul is the only thing that is sacred and it isn't an object.
Answer
In some ways it depends who you ask. There is "Sacred Scripture" the "Sacred Heart" Being Jesus' heart which appears in many religious icons and statues, and a list of other items which have sacred in front of them. If you think that sacred means holy then there are lots of things in church - from holy water to the body (and blood) of Christ, which are the bread and wine consecrated in the Mass, which some people refer to as the Sacred Liturgy.
