What ocean did megalodons live in?

[Edit]
The Megalodons lived in every ocean except the Arctic and Antarctic oceans. They were among one of the most successful predators to ever exist. They typically lived in warm climated waters.== Answer ==

There are some that insist that they preferred warm waters, but that has recently been disproved be a team in Hawaii. They tagged Great Whites and kept track of where they went and how deep. I watched the show, and noticed something no one else seemed to comment on. Not only did the shark they tagged have a whiteish color and a blunt looking snout on the shark, but I think that I saw 6 gills on the shark! All three are signs that this shark could be a Meg, a baby Meg, and not a GW. This shark headed to Ania Nuevo (sp?) in the southern part of the North Pacific, but it also went deep, a lot deeper than they previously believed GWs went.

Also, when a sub, in another show, went deep, their sub was hit by a VERY large shark. The sub was 8 feet across, and the shark that knocked off their laser sight was caught on camera, and was 16 feet wide!!! Twice as wide as the sub!!! This shark apeared to have the white skin I previously mentioned, and a blunt nose that a Meg would have. This one went by the camera fast, but I think it might have had the six gills also.

I'm feeling that due to this evidence, people need to consider that Megs can swim deep and survive down there just fine, so any ocean would be an option. Cold or warm water doesn't matter, and deep water, such as in the Trench, Challenger Deep, would be a good place Megs could survive the last ice age. Other marine animals swim down deep also, that has been proven also.

Remember, they don't have to come to the surface to breathe! And with six gill slits they would be able to get enough oxygen to live down there.

Another point I would like to make. At this time, over 5,000 volcanoes underwater, undersea, are now erupting on this planet, drastically warming up the oceans and changing the climates worldwide. That creates numerous 'paths' for any Megs to follow up to the surface, so they aren't trapped in the deep warm water areas of the ocean. They have a way now to get back to the surface. Numerous ships have gone missing recently that are unexplained, and people claim in various location to have seen VERY large sharks. Meg babies can be mistaken for Great Whites.

The one seen in Australia was claimed, by veteran fishermen, to be 300 feet long, white, and eating their lobster traps easily. Those are pretty big. The head was estimated to be as large as the warf warehouse door, at least 100 feet across. These men were so scared by their encounter that they refused to go back to work for at least two weeks!!! This is men who know the sea and the creatures there, and they hadn't seen sharks that huge before. Ever. After all this time, they never retracted their story, too. That happened in 1918.

I've investigated this some, and found that there have been other sighting of huge sharks all over the would, about 30 of them, in recent times. They are not whale sharks if they are white in color, and jump out of the ocean. One was attacking a whale, which is what Megs are liking to eat, for the high blubber content.
