If we are talking about a 2 stroke engine, a TCW-3 rated, 2 cycle oil is required. For a 4 stroke outboard, 10-40 wt. oil is usually recommended.
Cracked block or blown head gasket.
can someone tell me what the gas to oil mixture for a 48 spl Johnson boat motor is please
The boat does still go full throtle
It will flow over the sides
50:1
If there is no oil tank on the engine, the oil must be added to the fuel.
The gas to oil mix ration for the Johnson boat motor is 40:1 for this year and style outboard. Some people might suggest 50:1 but this can cause your motor to gall and may cause you to loose a ring or two.
The length of a motor boat is not restricted
50:1
most likely 50:1
50:1 otherwise 51/2 oz oil to 2 gallons.
only if there is a serious engine problem. A boat motor is cooled by lake water instead of a radiator and coolant system. The lake water is pumped into the motor's cooling tubes and pumped out through the exhaust. The only way I can see that there would be water in the oil is if the motor has a blown head gasket or a cracked valve.
