In Baroque music, phrasing was continuous, while in Classical era music phrasing was short and based on cadences.
Baroque music tends to be for small chamber orchestras and is usually very intricate, with many layers. Classical Music tends to be for larger orchestras and for showing off virtuoso talents or entertainment rather than for praising God or presenting solemn tunes to kings, as much Baroque music was. Operas and concertos became the dominant forms of music, and later on the symphony became popular. Classical music is often more ornamented than baroque. Another aspect is that in classical music (and even more so romantic) much more technical information is given to the performer on how to perform, unlike in baroque times where notation on the music score was minimalist and left much more room for the performer to interpret the music, rather than merely "following the composer's orders".
The change between Classical music and Baroque music is the era. The musical eras in order from oldest to modern is Baroque (that's like harpsichord music) Classical (the era right before Beethoven) Romantic (no, not MUSHY !!! its music that makes you feel something =) And finally MODERN I think i don't I have to explain that much. It's music that was composed very recent)
Baroque music is typically considered to have an ornate style with lots of trills and grace notes. Soloists often improvised melodies and phrases. Musicians used little to no vibrato, and the vibrato was a very narrow arm vibrato. The baroque bowing style is a bit different, too. With each bow a "swell" is made by using more pressure at the beginning of a note and less pressure at the end. Notes should be kept separate. Unlike romantic music, slides are not acceptable when shifting to higher/lower positions. Use of dynamics are often over-exaggerated and can be interpreted differently by different musicians. Baroque orchestras were usually small in size. A feature of baroque music was the harpsichord. This instrument preceded the pianoforte (piano) and was used in most pieces. Other instruments included the violin, viola, violincello, contrbass, viola da gamba, violone, harpsichord, organ, Flute, recorder, and many many more.
Classical music was known to have a clearer and lighter style than baroque music. During the classical era, musicians were known to follow the music rather than improvising and adding ornamentation. Classical music used more dynamics (piano, forte, etc.). Vibrato was also used more continuously when playing. during this time, the harpsichord and other baroque instruments fell out of use. Orchestras became larger and more woodwind, brass, and percussion were added to orchestras. Classical instruments include the violin, viola, violincello, contrabass, piano, Oboe, Clarinet, bassoon, timpani, etc.

Technically...there is no difference. Baroque refers to a specific time period of Classical music (1600 - 1750).

Mozart was a true Classical composer, and his style can be defined as simple, harmonious and melodious.

That period in music is called "Baroque". Handel lived and worked in the final years of that period, and his latest music was contemporary of a new style that started to arise, the so-called "style gallant" or "pre-classical". That's why we say that Handel's works belong to the "late baroque".
The baroque era was full of cantatas when the toccatas or no voice movements were predominant in the classical era.
classical pereiod
Classical sonatas use "sonata form" at least in their first movement. Baroque sonatas do not.
Historians used JS Bach's death to mark the end of the baroque era.

A terminating decimal is a decimal that ends. A repeating decimal is a decimal that goes on and on.

The 18th century was called the Baroque period, and Vienna was a Baroque city. But in his case, he wrote music in that era and in the classical period also. Two eras, one composer.
The relationship between the arts and the humanities is that they are completely entwined. For instance, both the arts and humanities refer to the study of classical languages and classical literature.
