I feel that he has rights as a father. I would contact an attorney and talk to them. Most will give a free consultation. I would look for one that does child support cases as they will know more about these laws. I would not let her family keep me from the child. If she is going to be 18 then I dont see anything they can do. Good luck to you. As far as I know that would still qualify as statutory rape, so I would if nothing else take the threat very seriously. But what does the girl think? And what does your son want to do? Will he do the honorable thing and take care of the baby, and does she want to have the baby? Can either of them actually afford to support it? I would try to get everyone together and talk everything out before getting the law involved, but just remember they [her grandparents] would have a very strong case and your son could go up on charges, so use a lot of caution.
