For all intents and purposes, the Mitochondria is called the "Powerhouse" of the cell, but in reality, most of the organelles work together producing "parts" to contribute to the production of ATP (adenosin Triphosphate) used as energy by the cells. The Mitochondria is where organic compounds are extracted and transferred into ATP.
