∙ 14y agoIn order to get seeds from a cabbage plant, you must let the cabbage flower and then allow the flowers to stay on the plant and get fertilized and then the seed pods will develop. The only problem is that if you are using hybrid cabbage plants, as most gardeners do, the seeds will not necessarily be similar to the parent plants.

∙ 9y agoCabbage leaves are the edible part of a cabbage. And if it isn't too tart, the inner core can even be eaten. Most wouldn't want to eat the outer core, though. It is hard and usually off-color from being cut from the root.

∙ 8y agoThe leaves of the cabbage are eaten. The inner core of the cabbage head can sometimes be somewhat bitter and is often not used, although it is completely edible, also. The outer leaves are often wilted, which are sometimes peeled off and discarded.
