With child work laws and all, it is illegal in most places for an eleven year old kid to get a job anywhere. But you can always give friends and neighbors "business cards" for car-cleaning, doggie care, lawn mowing, babysitting, leaf trimming, etc. make sure your card is professional in a way and do good work. Also don't charge too much or they might not hire you again.
babysitting, mow lawns, deliver newspapers, help old people,

babysitting is the way to go

There are a number of places a 16 year old can find a job in Louisiana. This teenager can find a job at a fast food restaurant for example.
Not really, it all depends on the kid. It wouldn't be fair to be prejudge and say that all kids will act the same under the same circumstances. Jobs part-time jobs sometimes will affect studies, and sometimes wont. Kids who get part-time jobs might understand the feeling of responsibility and once again they might not. It all really depends on the kid.
