Generally limited to the area of the panhandle closest to Alabama, beaches around Pensacola have tar balls and oil patties (stickly,color of chocolate) wash up on the beaches.

as far as I know, the oil spill has not reached the eastern side of Florida. Only cities near the gulf of Mexico have a risk, and daytona beach is on the Atlantic side.

As of 2010 July 16, the bp gulf oil spill has not reached Corpus Christi, Texas. It is possible that the oil spill may reach it in the upcoming months, depending on weather conditions.

As of June 20, Tar balls have shown up in Pensacola, Florida and the general area around Pensacola. It has not spread beyond Louisianna to the west.

There was no 'gulf stream oil spill' per say. Rather, the 2010 BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill has reached the Gulf. This spill started on 2010 April 20, reaching the gulf stream approximately in August.
It is spreading to Louisiana, Florida, and Alaska
