I have been in the car business for about 15 years. It used to be that you could say that in the spring to early summer you could anticipate selling about 40-50% of your sales for the year. From then on until late November, another 40%, and the balance from December until mid March. In the last five years this trend remains similar, however, the percentages in the spring and early summer have dropped by about ten percent, and this extra ten could be added to the mid winter sales.
