The Arctic ocean is home to one of the most simplist of life forms. Algea. This you can find in fish tanks or pools when you find green slime this is a form of algae. Most animals feed on it as it is at the bottom of the food chain.

once there is algae then you get fish that feed on it, then seals and whales that feed on the fish and then you have your big predators Polar bears.
