Shakespeare overcame many problems in theater, but also in life. One of these things he overcame in life was being an eighteen year old and haveing a wife and child to take care of.

Shakespeare faced many challenges. He grew up in a poor family, and even as an adult, was not that well off. He had some business failures, including having his theater in London closed by the London City Counsel. He also had to go through the heartbreak of the death of his son, Hamnet, at the age of 11.

When there were outbreaks of the plague, theatres were closed down until the plague was gone. The theatre companies all went on tour when this happened, which was not as profitable as acting in the London theatres. The Lord Chamberlain's Men made a tour of Kent in 1596 due to plague in London, and Shakespeare must have been on the tour with them.

People do, generally. As an eighteen-year old with a wife and child, it is clear that life was going to be tough for him until he found his feet. He was not exactly born into a theatre family although his Stratford connections did, we think, help him in London, and may have helped land him a job in theatre.

We can only guess that being a husband and father at the age of 18 without any job skills probably presented some difficulties to him.
