Florida was for many years the Orange growing capital of the USA, compared only to California in sales. We also grow celery, many types of fruit and veggies, due to our long warm days of summer and mild winters. Tomatoes are especially easy to grow here as are many types of nuts such as pecan fields in and around the upper part of the state. Cotton has always been a poplular crop as well.
