What protects our fundamental rights?

[Edit]

Fundamental rights

The best protection for fundamental rights is a determination on the part of ordinary citizens to uphold them and to respect the constitution. It can't be left to the courts alone.

This is an opinion and others may have different views.

The right to bear arms

Ultimately, that's the only defense we have. The federal government has already taken away many of our rights, especially those involving private property. They are on their way to taking away the rest of them. Of course, they'll have to take away the right to bear arms first. When they do, it's all over.
