This depends largely on how one defines being a Protestant. For example, the vast majority of the people in Scandinavian countries are officially Protestant however actual church attendance is quite low. Often less than 5% of the Scandinavians attends church once a month or more. For the sake of counting; we'll include official numbers of adherents.

In Europe the countries of Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Iceland, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland are traditionally viewed as Protestant states. Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands are about evenly split between Catholics and Protestants. Estonia and Latvia were traditionally predominantly Protestant states and it is still the largest religious group in both countries however both states are largely irreligious today.

.

The United States has a plurality of Protestants. Australia and New Zealand are about evenly split between Catholics and Protestants. Numerous former British possessions such as Bermuda and the Bahamas are also mostly Protestant.

There are no predominantly Protestant countries in Asia however three Indian states; Mizoram, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, have large Protestant majorities. Even so, Protestants only make up about 1% of India's overall population.
