It depends on where you live whether it's legal or not but doctors have found that the risk is very small for getting damaged children between first cousins. The risks are greater in countries where people continue marrying and have children with first cousins but if it's not a custom there's usually no problem.

∙ 15y agoYes. Actually, while it is generally socially less than acceptable to become intimately involved with your second cousin or even your first cousin, it is legal in most of the US to marry your first cousin, and laws regarding marriage to second cousins are unknown.

∙ 13y agoYes, first cousins once removed can have children if one is male and one is female and if they are older than 16 or so. But whether they are allowed to marry would depend on the law of the State they live in. Some, but not all states, forbid marriage between first cousins. Most are likely to accept marriage between first cousins, once removed.

Perhaps you are asking if the union will produce a healthy viable offspring not having the genetic risks of closer unions such as a brother/sister offspring.
To answer that question, yes, the parents genes should be different enough to create a reasonably healthy child. Also there is no state in the US that forbids marriage between a second and first cousin.
