Trees help to reduce global warming by 'cleaning the air'.
Here's how: * A gas that helps to cause global warming is carbon dioxide. * Trees 'breathe' just like we do except when they breathe they take in carbon dioxide not oxygen. * When a tree breathes out it breathes out oxygen. * This is then breathed in by a human. * Carbon dioxide is breathed out the the human... * ...and breathed in by the tree... * This carries on continuously. Some trees have been growing in tropical rainforests like the Amazon Basin for hundreds of years. They store almost half their weight in carbon. So trees help reduce global warming in a way, but with people producing so much extra carbon dioxide global warming is happening. Trees probably have other effects on the environment and global warming, but I only know what is above. Hope it helps :) Yes, living trees breathe in carbon dioxide. But when they die, they ROT, and when they rot, all the carbon they stored over the years will be oxidized and released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide. Well, not ALL of the carbon. Some part of it will be transferred to the soil. But in places like the Amazon Rain Forest, the soil is too thin to hold much carbon, so very little goes into the soil and what little does is rapidly released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide. On the other hand, if, instead of allowing trees to die and rot, we were to HARVEST the trees, turn them into lumber, and treat them to prevent rot, the carbon therein would be sequestered (prevented from oxidizing into the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere) almost indefinitely.
They help purify the air by taking in airborne chemicals and releasing oxygen however, so many of them are getting cut down and by doing so, a huge amount of carbon dioxide (which is a greenhouse gas) gets released into the atmosphere and helps contribute to global warming.
Growing trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Burning or destroying those trees means the carbon is released into the atmosphere again and the trees no longer absorb.
By not absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen.
There are so many greenhouse gases contributing to global warming so trees are important to absorb all those gases and provide fresh oxygen for the survival of human beings.

global warming, war and conflict, a corrupt government, lack of natural resources, a poor economy etc
there would be no more global warming but all the plants would die from lack of carbon dioxide then we would all die. sad world.
They are not the same issue. Ozone is a greenhouse gas and the hole is an issue with the Antarctic that occurs at the end of every winter for a few months. The lack of warming seen at the Antarctic is being blamed on the temporary hole there allows the to escape faster. The main link is that man may be helping nature with both issues, but even this in different ways.
A lack of calcium does not necessarily lead to arthritis when you age although it can contribute its onset. It will lead to osteoporosis the form of arthritis that may result from this is called osteoarthritis.

Governments already have enough power. What some of them lack is knowledge and guts
Currently scientists are uncertain as to how global warming would affect tornadoes. This is further complicated by a lack of complete, long-term tornado records. So far no substantial link has been discovered.
1 Trees do not grow properlybecause they perform photosynthesis in sun light. 2 Soil pollution will increase. 3 Global warming will increases due extra use of fossil fuel increased air pollution may result in global warming. 4 To produce energy extra use of fuel will result lack of fuel.

One cause of the extreme temperate of planets includes the lack of atmosphere. Additionally, on Earth, there is global warming.
Global Warming has nothing to do with the Ozone layer. Ozone is a chemical, O3 ,that stops most of the UV radiation from the sum from getting to the earth's surface. Chloro-fluoro carbons- CFC's are chemicals that were used in cooling systems and complex fire extinguishers, as well as aerosols. When scientists did research in the 1970's etc, they worked out that CFC's, such as Freon, chlorotrifluoromethane, CClF3, break ozone into oxygen and "oxygen radicals", that react with the CFC. This creates a hole in the ozone layer. A lack of ozone doesn't affect global warming. Instead, the CFC's themselves are potent greenhouse gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect and global warming.
Europe does not "lack" trees, there are plenty of trees to be found in Europe.
California is already suffering through major droughts. The lack of water affects agriculture (industry) and human activities.
It has not yet been confirmed but it could cause apocalyptic natural disasters, such as gigantic floods. Any number of possible scenarios could bring about the end of mankind, and possibly all other life on earth. Global warming is one scenario. Others include: large asteroid impact; global thermonuclear war; global pandemic virus; overpopulation and resulting lack of resources; multiple supervolcano eruptions. While all these are possibilities the odds vary from one scenario to another. Even if mankind survives into the far future, billions of years hence, they would still be faced with the inevitable death of the universe.
