Shari'a is the Legal Code of Islam whose jurisprudence is binding on all Muslims. It determines everything about what a Muslim should and should not believe about the natural and supernatural; what actions a Muslim must, should, should not, and must not take; what laws and criminal penalties should be passed, rescinded, enforced, and retracted; and how to answer questions about the meaning of life and interactions with other human beings. Less traditional Muslims will often minimize the effect of Shari'a in their lives since a stricter following of Shari'a would oppose the activities and perspectives that they support. Those who support a strict enforcement of Shari'a often create very conservative atmospheres which run contrary to world norms, such as Human Rights. The supporters of the most restrictive forms of Shari'a are the Jihadist Terrorist organizations like ISIL, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Taliban.
