What scriptual authority is there for Sunday School?

Answer

None. Parents are required by the Bible to teach their own children. It's not someone else's responsibility.

On the other hand, it depends on what "Sunday School" means. In many churches it's the place where children can be taught the Bible at their own level; in some churches, it's the only place where Bible study occurs.
