The show's title is Sesame Street, not Elmo. The name of the vampire on Sesame Street is named Count von Count. Sesame Street first aired in 1969, Elmo first appeared in 1979 in a non-speaking role credited as "Little Monster".

A special Sesame Street Christmas was first aired on December 8, 1978 on CBS. This was diffrent because other Christmas specials were broadcasted on PBS instead.
