What should I do if a former professor and me like each other and send each other email messages with innuendo's but afraid to make the first move. Who should be the one to initiate?

Immature Relationship

I hope the enquirer will not be too offended by this answer.

Reading between the lines I interpret the situation to be an illicit one, and most probably the professor is not a university professor, but a teacher. By illicit I mean, that either the professor is married. or the enquirer is a minor, thus either illegal or immoral.
At any rate, asking "who should initiate" or "take the first move" indicates to me immaturity. If the situation had not been illicit, why doesn't one of you invite the other for coffee at a cafeteria, whatever?

My prediction is, that this kind of relationship is risky for both of you.

Sorry, if it hurts. . . unintentionally.
