The idea of a "crush" is so strange to me. Either you are in love or you aren't.
I have been in love exactly twice, both times she was only interested in a platonic friendship. But love has to start somewhere, and friends is the best place for any relationship to start. If you aren't both friends in the beginning real love cannot either begin or last. The core of true love is a solid friendship between the two people.
The first lady I fell in love with, after more than 18 years is now falling in love with me. Perhaps I have a chance. Do you have that level of patience and willingness to always seek what is best for your friend? You probably won't have to wait that long to find out.
